PTO
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a vehicle that connects parents and teachers to the school and allows them to feel part of the school community in ways they might not otherwise. Numerous events and activities are held throughout the year and their success relies heavily on the continued dedication and support of our families.

in your school.

IN ADDITION TO THE PTO, PARENTS ARE ENCOTAGED
TO JOIN ONE OR MORE THE FOLLOWING SUB-COMMITEES:

• Class Ambassadors: Class parents help teachers with their children's
classroom activities, field trips, class parties and programs under the
discretion of the classroom teacher. These parents are the link between
teacher/administration/PTO and other class parents. A class ambassador
assist the PTO with events and fundraisers.
• Library Committee: Parents in this committee help faculty and
administration in our school library to raise funds to purchase new
materials, books, etc... Also parents are needed to assist the Librarian
with day-to-day running of the Library. Hours are flexible.
• Hospitality Committee: Organize and bake for receptions and visiting
guests for various school activities.
• Lunch Committee: Parents collect and tally lunch orders monthly.
Also provide supplies such as placemats, cups, etc... as needed.
• Directory Committee: Parents in this committee will use their
computer skills to edit and update and school's directory for the
upcoming year and write articles for the school's newsletter (Hovnanian
Times) as needed.
• Year book Committee: Parents in this committee plan, execute
and raise funds for the Yearbook.
